African Children’s Choir in Concert in Carryduff Parish Church
03 Jan 2019
The internationally acclaimed African Children’s Choir will be performing at Carryduff Parish Church on Thursday 3 January 2019 at 7.30 pm.
The Choir stole the hearts of the nation during their uplifting performance of the number one single ‘Sing’ with Gary Barlow at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations – now, the latest Choir is bringing a new concert experience back to the UK.
The “Just as I am” tour combines traditional hymns with African cultural sounds and a stunning visual story of God’s faithfulness. This family–friendly event is full of inspirational stories, beautiful voices and lively African songs. A free–will offering is taken at the performance to support Music for Life programmes, including the continued education of the children you see in concert.
Music for Life, the official fundraising charity of The African Children’s Choir, works in seven African countries and has educated over 52,000 children as well as impacting the lives of over 100,000 people through its relief and development programmes during its history. By focusing on providing education, Music for Life’s purpose is to help Africa’s most vulnerable children today, so they can help Africa tomorrow.
The African Children’s Choir travels the world, acting as the ambassador for Africa’s children. They have been privileged to perform before presidents and heads of state and have had the honour of singing alongside artists such as Sir Paul McCartney, Annie Lennox, Mariah Carry, Josh Groban and other inspirational performers.
