Could your church ‘adopt’ a Care Home?

Care home residents are twice as likely to feel severely lonely as older people living at home. There are far more care homes in Northern Ireland than churches. Imagine the difference we could make if every care home was adopted by a local church, with trained volunteers spending time and building friendship with residents.

All it needs is one person in each church with a heart for older people who can gather two or three volunteers. Together we can make an enormous difference in the lives of some of the oldest and frailest people in Northern Ireland.

Free Training

Care Home Friends will be training people to gather together a small group of volunteers and start new Care Home Friend projects in Northern Ireland on

Tuesday 23 January 2018, 10.00 am to 5.00 pm at Crescent Church, 6 University Road, Belfast, BT7 1NH
