Former rector becomes chaplain to the ‘beautiful game’

The former rector of Kilwarlin (Upper & Lower), Revd David Pierce, has just been appointed as Club Chaplain to Dollingstown Football Club.

David’s passion for Leeds United is well known and now he’ll be able to mix his love of football with his love of the gospel.

He said:

“I am delighted by my appointment as Club Chaplain of Dollingstown Football Club. My role will involve providing spiritual and pastoral support when necessary to players, supporters and members of the support and management team associated with Dollingstown Football Club.

“Last season Dollingstown were promoted to Championship 2 and won the Marshall Cup so there is an air of optimism and expectancy around the club about the coming season.  As for me, I am excited about the new possibilities of serving Christ in this new role.”

We wish David and the team every success this coming season.
