Vacancy for Church Organist & Music Group Assistant
St Patrick’s Parish Church, Drumbeg, has a vacancy for a Church Organist and Music Group Assistant.
The Select Vestry wishes to appoint a faithful Christian organist to assist the Rector, Choir and Music Group with the music ministry in the parish.
At present we have a contemporary 10.00 am Sunday Service which is led by a music group with a keyboard, guitars, percussion and a small singing group. This is followed by traditional Morning and Evening Prayer services at 11.30 am and 6.30 pm which are led from the organ and piano, assisted by a small, but able, four–part choir.
It is desirable that the applicant can offer another instrument alongside the organ and piano to augment the music group.
There will be some responsibility for preparing the choir and music group for special events during the church year.
The church has a digital Hamill organ, a Schimmel grand piano and a Kawai digital piano.
