Cyclone Idai – Bishop Harold urges us to pray and give

Friday 22 March 2019

Hundreds have been killed and nearly half a million left homeless by Cyclone Idai, which has torn through Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe.

Bishop Harold asks us to pray in our parishes this Sunday for the victims and the disaster response teams.

Please also consider giving to the Emergency Appeal via the Disasters Emergency Committee or its member charities.

One of these is Tearfund UK which is working with local partners to meet people’s most immediate needs.

They will be distributing food, cooking utensils and shelter, along with seeds to replant crops destroyed by the winds.

Your donation today will help them reach many more vulnerable people.

Bishop Harold is a member of the Tearfund UK Board.
