Here are some helpful thoughts on prayer from the founder of 24/7 Prayer International, Pete Greig…

The Daily Office
The 2004 Book of Common Prayer includes a simple structure for Daily Prayer. Some people find it very useful to have a more definitely structured ‘shape, for daily devotions based on the model of Morning or Evening Prayer.
Please note that the Daily Prayer link below is awaiting repair. Apologies.
Retreat and Contemplative Prayer
Retreat is an opportunity to withdraw from all the cares and pressures of the world to a quiet place. Some of the religious orders are very pleased for their houses to be used for personal retreats by arrangement (for example the Benedictine Monks in Rostrevor with whom the Diocese of Down and Dromore has a very warm relationship).
