Movilla’s young swimming champs!
At the recent Irish Minor Schools Swimming Championships in Galway, Luke Graham, youngest son of Revd Kevin Graham, Rector of Movilla Abbey, won two gold medals.
Luke was named Irish Minor Schools Champion in 50m backstroke and 50m breast stroke, under 10, having earlier in the year become Ulster Champion in the same strokes.
In a possible first for a Church of Ireland parish a second parishioner, Jos Newell, then achieved gold in the 50m butterfly, under 9, also becoming the Irish Minor Schools Champion. Jos and Luke were swimming for Londonderry PS Newtownards.
Luke is pictured above having received his first medal. Both boys have a promising future ahead and we wish them every success.
