Children and youth leaders resourced for the new season
On the 18th and 19th September, leaders involved in children and youth ministry from across the diocese gathered together for an evening of worship, celebration, prayer and input from two experienced speakers.
On the first night, over 50 leaders met in Banbridge parish for a keynote address given by Mark Moorehead (above left) from Scripture Union. Mark talked about how to grow your ministry, physically, numerically, and spiritually.
The following evening, Marty Gray (above right) came to Ballybeen parish to deliver a keynote about how to do the best with what you’ve got, regardless of size or other obstacles.
After these keynote addresses, there was a break for some light refreshments and then the groups split into two for networking workshops and a seminar on practical tips for the season ahead.
If you’re a leader involved with children/youth ministry in the diocese, make sure you’re following DDYC on Facebook so that you can plug into any upcoming training opportunities.
