Stewart becomes Club Chaplain at Dollingstown FC
Congratulations to Stewart Quinn who was recently appointed Club Chaplain at Dollingstown Football Club. He is the Youth Worker for Magheralin Parish and will also be known to many as a worship leader at diocesan events.
Stewart has taken up the role having completed the Sports Chaplaincy Induction Training, provided by Sports Chaplaincy UK & Ireland.
The role of the sports chaplain is to encourage and support club members whilst providing a safe and confidential place for them to talk about whatever is going on in their lives - good or bad. The chaplain is available to players, coaches, staff and supporters alike.
Stewart joins at least two other sports chaplains in the diocese - Revd Rodney Blair, Vicar in Shankill Lurgan who is Club Chaplain to Lurgan Rugby Club, and Sam McBurney, parishioner of St Dorothea’s Gilnahirk, who is Club Chaplain to Knockbreda FC.
Please pray for Stewart, Rodney and Sam in these important roles.
