The Church of the Ascension is a vibrant Anglican Parish Church. We welcome all from the area and beyond to worship with us. We meet together both in Church on Sundays and at activities in the Parochial Hall during the week to worship and pray together and to enjoy each others’ company. 

A devoted and dedicated congregation worships in Magherahamlet Parish Church. Membership of the Parish comes from the local community in Magherahamlet, Spa and neighbouring areas. The Parochial organisations at present consist of a vibrant Sunday School and an enthusiastic Mothers’ Union Branch. Local community relations are close.

Directions

Annahilt:
Situated some 5 miles equidistant from the neighbouring City of Lisburn, the town of Ballynahinch and village of Hillsborough. From Lisburn follow Upper Ballynahinch Road (under Motorway Bridge), continue through Legacurry cross–roads (Legacurry Presbyterian Church on left), past The Pheasent Restaurant (on right) and through next cross–roads. The Church is on the left at the next bad bend (opposite the Parochial Hall). If you reach Annahilt you have come too far! From Hillsborough follow road to Ballynahich as far as Annahilt (approx 4 miles). Before entering village at staggered crossroads turn left onto Glebe Road (road to Lisburn). After 1 mile come to a bad bend. The Church of the Ascension is on the right (opposite the Parochial Hall). From Ballynahinch follow road to Hillsborough as far as Annahilt (approx 4 miles). Go through village. On far side of village, at staggered cross–roads turn right onto Glebe Road (road to Lisburn). After 1 mile come to a bad bend. The Church of the Ascension is on the right (opposite the Parochial Hall). 

Magherahamlet:
From Ballynahinch, follow Newcastle Road for approx 1 mile and then turn right (BEFORE Millbrook Lodge Hotel) to Spa. At Spa crossroads, turn left at Presbyterian Church. Follow road around Ballymacarn Lake to Magherahamlet Parish Church.
