About

Down Parish (St Margaret’s) is part of the Lecale Area Mission Partnership (LAMP). At the heart of everything we do is a desire to worship Jesus and share him with our community. We seek to be welcoming and open to everyone.

Generally, our services follow the structures of the Church of Ireland Book of Common Prayer, in a relaxed and relatively informal setting.

St Margaret’s is the Parish Church of the town of Downpatrick and seeks to reach out. In 2017 we opened a Community Centre with drop–in facilities which continues to serve residents in the town.

Directions

St Margaret's is in the centre of Downpatrick, in Church Avenue with access at two points - from Church Street and from Church Avenue (upper gate always unlocked).
