About

Movilla Abbey Church is a lively and friendly church in the heart of east Newtownards close to the ancient ruins of Movilla Abbey.

On 10 October 2021 the Anglican and Methodist congregations of Movilla Abbey Church were commissioned into a new future as one united worshipping, working and witnessing community. In the coming months we will be working out both the practical and constitutional details of this exciting new phase of ministry among the people of Newtownards. 

Directions

Movilla Abbey Church is located on Movilla Road in East Newtownards, just past the ruins of ancient Movilla Abbey and Movilla Cemetery.
