As a parish we have asked ourselves ‘what are the things that really matter?’ Given that our final authority, in all matters of doctrine and moral behaviour, rests in the Scriptures, we turned to the Bible and to Paul's letter to the church in Phillippi.
What really matters is to know Christ and to be known by Him and our role is to make Him known in the local area through mission and outreach while supporting those further afield in our land and overseas. We are to be disciples and we are to make disciples. We pray for God's grace, mercy and blessing as we live this out. ‘Failure is success in the things that don't matter!’
