Tyrella (St John’s) is part of the Lecale Area Mission Partnership (LAMP). At the heart of everything we do is a desire to worship Jesus and share him with our community. We seek to be welcoming and open to everyone.
Generally, our services follow the structures of the Church of Ireland Book of Common Prayer, in a relaxed and relatively informal setting.
Tyrella has a small congregation of committed people who meet each Sunday evening. In the winter this is a cosy setting near the coast, and in the summer the beauty of the setting is inescapable.
Shortly after leaving Clough, take the A2 for Tyrella (signposted) as if you were going to Tyrella Beach. After just over 4 miles you will see St John’s is on the right-hand side, a short distance from the beach.
Alternate Sunday evenings at 6.00pm
Clanmaghery Road, Downpatrick, BT30 8EN.
