Christians urged to make TB history

The Christian relief and development agency, Tearfund has produced a new church resource highlighting the deadly impact of TB in the developing world. It is staggering to think that of the 30,000 people who die in poverty of preventable causes, 7,000 are killed by TB, which is a curable disease.

Church leaders who attended the launch of the new Killer TB resource heard David Smith the Regional Volunteer Manager for Tearfund Ireland say, “Tuberculosis has a higher infection rate than any other disease globally. When we think of preventable deaths caused by poverty TB has to feature highly.”

Copies of the Killer TB resource manual are available from the Tearfund office – telephone (028) 9068 2828
