New Wine seeking volunteers
This past year the New Wine Churches Together Year Out Scheme has had four volunteers working with St John's Parish in Moira and in Willowfield Parish in East Belfast.
Now New Wine are currently looking for people who might be interested in volunteering next year to work in St John's Moira, Lisburn Cathedral or Willowfield Parish. (This would be from September 2006 to August 2007.)
The scheme is set up and administered by New Wine (Ireland) and provides opportunities to minister in a wide range of areas. The area of ministry will depend on the church chosen. This scheme is open to anyone who is over 18 years old and is willing to spend a year working as a full-time volunteer. Each person taking part in the scheme is asked to raise £1,000, with housing, a weekly allowance and training povided by the chosen church .
