103 years of ministry
Two brothers, who are both Church of Ireland clergymen, were recently given a special presentation to mark each of them achieving 50 years in the ordained ministry. Canon John Bell celebrated his 50th anniversary at the end of June and his brother, Canon Frank Bell, reached his 50th anniversary three years ago.
Certificates outlining details of their ordained ministries were presented to them by the Rev Jonathan Pierce, rector of Kilmore and Inch. The certificates, which were specially designed by a parishioner, who is a graphic designer, were presented by the rector of Kilmore and Inch, the Rev Jonathan Pierce.
The brothers and their wives have retired to live in Crossgar and are actively involved in parish life in the parishes of Kilmore and Inch.
