Hilary gets a 'no 1' haircut
When parishioner Julia Simpson was recently diagnosed with cancer the parishioners of St. Brendan's, Sydenham got behind the Church Warden Hilary McRoberts in sponsoring her ‘number one' haircut to support Julia through her chemotherapy treatment.
A final total of £3,500 was raised for ‘Action Cancer' with a specific request that the money be used towards the introduction of bowel cancer screening into Northern Ireland.
