Death of former Dean of Dromore
The Very Revd Ronald Hutchinson, former Dean of Dromore, has died. His funeral service will be held on Friday 25th May 2007 at 2.00pm in Shankill, Lurgan.
Dean Hutchinson served as Dean of Dromore from 1993 until 1995 and spent most of his ministry in the diocese of Down & Dromore. Born in 1929 he studied at Trinity College, Dublin and was made deacon in 1952 and priested the following year.
He was curate in Mullabrack with Kilcluney (Armagh Diocese) from 1952 until 1954. His second curacy was in Dromore Cathedral from 1954 until 1962, when he was appointed Curate in charge in Rathmullan with Tyrella. In 1974 he became Incumbent in Magheralin with Dollingstown, where he remained until his retirement in 1995.
