Albany youth team returns

A group of 12 young people have returned from our link diocese of Albany following a successful 14 day stint at Beaver Cross Summer Camp.  This is the third time a team from Down & Dromore has gone to work at the Summer Camp, which is situated in 612 acres in the Adirondacks.

Led by the Down & Dromore Youth Officer, Andrew Brannigan, the team members were, Craig Lutton, Nadine McGaffin, Ashleigh Cochrane, Sonya Brown, Bronagh Smyth, Kimberly Moore, Alison Tuner, Laura Miller, Natalie Patterson, Gillian Neill and Ruth Hillis.

During their first week the team ran a camp for the 11-14's, followed by a second week for the 15-18 year age group.  However, it wasn't all work, work, work as the team also had time to relax and see a little of their surroundings.

Bishop Harold, who happened to be in the locality, was able to visit Beaver Cross and spend time with the team.
