HG director speaks out on attacks on Orange Halls

A number of orange halls have been attacked during the past number of weeks.  In response to the attacks the Revd Earl Storey, who is the director the Church of Ireland Hard Gospel Project, made the following statement:

"Successive attacks on Orange Halls in recent times represent an unacceptable attack upon the property of members of the community in Northern Ireland. These incidents are obviously designed to create strife and discord. The attacks are to be condemned. They represent an attempt to stir communal tensions, and as such offer nothing for the peace and wellbeing of all parts of our community. They also cause upset to the members of local Lodges that are affected. The restrained and dignified response by the Orange Order leadership in the face of such attacks is to be commended."
