Youth department encourages a 'jump' start

The Church of Ireland Youth Department (CIYD) has launched the JUMP Programme, a new Year Out experience for young adults who are interested in working in a church environment for one year, providing a ‘JUMP start' to the youth work in that place.

The all Ireland programme will commence in September 2008 with interns placed in parishes across Ireland.  For the young adults involved this will be the start of a new journey into what it is like to work full time within the church.  For the parishes and communities involved this will be the start of a new expression of their youth work, a chance to see new things happen for their young people and church community.

The Church of Ireland Youth Department offers a range of services and programmes for young people, youth leaders, youth workers and parishes - for more information visit http://www.ciyd.org/

If you are interested in taking a Year Out with CIYD on the JUMP Programme or hosting the JUMP Programme in your parish please contact Catherine Little (Year Out Co-ordinator at CIYD) on 028 9066 0052 / catherine@ciyd.org
