Psalms to Simple Chants
The Liturgical Advisory Committee of the General Synod has produced a CD of ‘Psalms to Simple Chants' in time for the season of Easter. The CD is a useful guide as to how the psalms might be used in worship situations where there is no choir or organist.
Alison Cadden, who is a member of LAC, did the psalm settings and other involved included Nicola Brown (Soprano), Julie Bell (Alto); Alan Cross (Tenor) and Michael Harris (Bass).
The LAC has sent each Incumbent in the Church of Ireland a copy of the CD, with accompanying notes, as a means of offering churches an alternative or a new way of using the palms in the Sunday liturgy.
