Confirmation Handbook Launched
Bishop Harold Miller and Diocesan Youth Officer Andrew Brannigan launched the new Confirmation Handbook to delegates at the bi–annual Down and Dromore Clergy Conference in the Central Hotel, Donegal town on Wednesday.
The handbook is designed to help resource and equip parishes as they prepare young people for Confirmation. It is set out in chronological order to reflect the whole process from considering a Confirmation preparation group to follow–up ideas after the Confirmation service. The content is a mixture of current theory and resources as well as suggestions and ideas based on the general experiences and thoughts of various people from clergy and youth workers to young people themselves.
Speaking at the launch, Andrew Brannigan said “Confirmation has been hailed by many as one of the greatest opportunities that the Church of Ireland has and this handbook should hopefully be of some use in seizing this opportunity.”
