Vandalism at Groomsport Parish Church
Vandals targeted Groomsport Parish Church on Sunday night, 30th November. The attack left a stained glass memorial window smashed and several doors were also badly damaged. The Rector, the Revd Duncan Pollock said "People are horrified that such a pretty little holy place as our church could be so desecrated." He added that it was "for nothing" as the vandals did not take anything.
The church building will be closed for its mid-week Advent Service this Wednesday (3rd December) but should he back in use for worship on Sunday (7th December) once temporary repairs have been carried out.
