Six from the Diocese graduate from Arrow

Six clergy from the diocese of Down and Dromore have graduated from the first Arrow Ireland Leadership Course. The graduation ceremony was held in the Great Hall at Queens University Belfast where Dr. Carson Pue, President of Arrow Leadership, gave the commencement address.

Congratulations go to: Nigel Parker (Bangor), Terence Cadden (Seagoe), Jono Pierce (Kilmore and Inch), Ken McGrath (Kilkeel), Kingsley Sutton (Newry) and Kevin Graham (Millisle and Carrowdore).

This is the end of an almost two year journey for the six graduates. The first of four five day residentials began on November 18th 2007 and in between there were assignments to complete. Participants were also encouraged to meet in peer groups and with a mentor.

Although demanding, all 18 graduates of the first course found it a profound and beneficial experience. Watch the video below for some of their comments.

Bishop Harold, who attended the ceremony said, "Arrow is the best Leadership Course I have ever come across. It develops the whole person and in the end that person, their family and their parish reap the benefits. I would recommend it to leaders in our diocese without hesitation."

Arrow Ireland is currently recruiting for their second course, which is open to Christian leaders both lay and ordained. Click here for more information.
