Death of Patrick Corkey
Church of Ireland Trustee, Mr Patrick Corkey died on 12th June. He was a longtime parishioner of Holywood parish but in recent years had lived and worshipped at Inch. Mr Corkey served the diocese as its representative on the Church of Ireland Trustees. He was appointed to the association in 1978 and subsequently was elected to the Governing Body, which he served extremely well until the end of 2008. Mr Corkey was a very highly regarded member of the Church of Ireland Men's Society and a volunteer with the St John's Ambulance. He was active in Inch Men's fellowship up to last month.Mr.Corkey's funeral service is at 2.30pm on Thursday 18th June in Inch Parish church. He is to be buried in Clonallon near Warrenpoint.He is survived by his wife Betty, Daughter Julia and Son Jonathan.
