Bishop Harold blasts off at Cosmic City!

The Cosmic City team at St Mary's Ballybeen was delighted to welcome two special guests on Tuesday as Bishop Harold and Liz dropped in for part of the morning programme.

With over 100 children attending, Cosmic City: Exploring the Awesome Wonder of God is an interactive holiday Bible club with a rotational programme, with the kids (or space voyagers!) moving through five different 20 minute ‘stations' in their age-groups, and each day's theme being reinforced through music and memory verse, drama, games, science experiments and crafts.

Commenting on what he and Liz experienced, Bishop Harold said ‘At a time when secular atheism is seeking to win children and their families through holiday events similar to this, the church needs to be stepping up to the mark in seeking to win them for Christ. Creative and energetic programmes like this one will go a long way to communicating the truth and the vitality of the Christian faith in a way that really impacts local communities.'

Cosmic City runs each morning until Friday 31st July, with a celebration service and barbeque on Sunday 2nd August at 11am. For more information, visit the Ballybeen website.
