Diocesan BBQ SM 09

Did Brandy really feed 5000? That's what it felt like as the queue lengthened at the Down and Dromore Summer Madness barbeque.

Diocesan Youthworker, Andrew Brannigan, enlisted the help of any available youthworkers, Bishop Harold, Albany team members, CIYD and two Benedictine brothers to keep up with demand. There was a great turnout at this annual event with young people arriving from all over the diocese to grab their free burgers and sausages. Some underfed clergy also showed up!

The Paddock camping area was well filled with Down and Dromore parish youth groups (some quieter than others) and the Teen Mission Ireland team from Albany also set up their little piece of America there. All in all, a great representation from Down and Dromore at Summer Madness.

Thanks Brandy, for all your hard work!
