MU support Guide Dogs

Members of Down and Dromore MU went along to help and support the Guide Dogs for the Blind team at their recent family fun day at Stormont.

The charity was launching it's new Puppy Walking Scheme as 30 new volunteer puppy walkers begin socialising guide dog puppies on the streets of Bangor and Belfast. The volunteers will provide the full-time care and education of a puppy from six weeks of age until they are between 12 and 14 months old. After their puppy walking the puppies will be returned to the charity to begin their formal guide dog training.

MU has adopted the Guide Dogs charity for this year and Bishop Harold and Liz Miller went along to offer their support.

They are pictured with guide dog owner and MU member from Aghalee, June Best, along with Zimba her dog, Marion Edwards and Nick Hardy (National UK Fund Raising Manager).
