Thursday's Bible Week reader
Our reader this evening is a familiar face in Lurgan, CLLR Mrs Meta Crozier, Mayor of Craigavon Council (UUP).
Meta entered public service 21 years ago as a Councillor for the Lurgan Area and in June this year had the honour of being elected as Mayor of Craigavon for 2009/10.
She was raised in the Avenue Road area of Lurgan and still lives there with her husband John and son David. She has another son living in Waringstown and a daughter in England and, of course, five grandchildren, who bring her much joy.
The role of Mayor is a busy one and comes with a lot of responsibilities, but Meta thoroughly enjoys it. She says, "I especially like meeting all the people out there in the Borough who work so hard for their communities. I hope I serve them all well and make a difference to their daily lives."
Meta is a lifelong member of Shankill Parish Church (Lurgan) and enjoys singing, both choral and solo.
