Curate appointed Grand Chaplain of the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland

Revd Stanley Gamble, Curate of Knockbreda Parish, has been appointed Grand Chaplain of the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland. A former Lisburn man, member of Pond Park LOL 722 and Chaplain of Lisburn District No 6, Stanley succeeds the Revd Gerry Sproule, also from Lisburn.   Former Wallace High School student, Stanley is the son of Lisburn couple Stanley (snr) and Oriel Gamble, who are members of St Paul's Parish Church.  As a youth, he came under the Christian influence and guidance of the late Rev Dr Canon Kenneth Cochrane and more recently, the current Rector, the Rev James Carson.  Stanley was ordained for the Curacy of Knockbreda Parish in June 2007.
