Organ Scholarship Scheme
The Church of Ireland Diocese of Down and Dromore and Connor invite applications for the Organ Scholarship Scheme. Scholarships are awarded annually by The Board of Management.
• Tenable for three years from September 2010• Tuition, free of charge, from leading church organists • A certificate is awarded upon completion of the course
The scholarship scheme is intended to foster the skills of musicians in the service of the Church, in the Anglican tradition.
Elements of choir training are included in the course.
No previous experience of playing the organ is necessary, but basic proficiency on the keyboard (e.g. Grade 5 piano) is expected.
There are no upper or lower age limits.
