On 13th March, Rev Chris Bennett will be taking part in the "Titanic Leap", a petrifying-sounding jump from a platform suspended 100 feet above the Titanic Dock - in the good cause of supporting Habitat For Humanity.
Chris continues on his blog at The Dock Church:
"I’m doing it to raise money for Habitat For Humanity, a fantastic charity dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and homelessness worldwide, and specifically for Liz Fleming, a friend from Carryduff who is travelling to India with Habitat in March to work on a building project. Since the Titanic Quarter is all about making new homes, it seems like a good fit - Habitat is founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, decent and affordable place to live in dignity and safety.

And if you’d like to come along and see the plummet in action – I’m due to be stepping off the platform between 1:00 and 1:30 on 13th March – it would be great to have you there for moral support!"
