All Aboard with The Dock Church

If you've been following The Dock adventure from the start, you’ll know that one of the bright ideas that kick-started the whole project was the concept that church in the Titanic Quarter would be kinda cool on a boat.

Rev Chris Bennett continues:

"It’s not a brand new idea - it’s already being done in Canary Wharf in London and the Cardiff docks – but given Belfast’s proud history of boat building it seems too good a chance to miss.  One of the things I’ve learnt recently is that 100 years ago, Belfast docks were the envy of the entire world – no-one could touch us for , scale and expertise in shipbuilding.

So on a slightly smaller scale, I went on a Dock Adventure a few days ago to meet a few guys involved in some ship building of their own.  In many ways, given the resources they had to work with, their achievement is no less impressive than the megaships pouring out of Belfast shipyards at the turn of the last Century."
