Thanks to a generous grant from the SELB and as a result of an insurance claim following a burst pipe at the Youth Centre attached to St. Patrick's Hall, Seagoe Youth Group have been able to undertake a refurbishment of their Youth Centre.

Over the last weekend in March a variety of activities was planned to enable people to visit the centre and celebrate its use over many years. Bishop Harold visited the complex for a Service of Praise and Thanksgiving on Palm Sunday evening.

The Centre has had a lot of electrical work done to revise the lighting to create a much better atmosphere both inside and outside the building.

  • The coffee bar has been completely remodelled to update it

  • The entire building has been repainted internally and new carpets fitted throughout.

  • An informal seating area comprising leather sofas grouped round one of our new large screen TVs creates a relaxed place to chat.

  • A new computer and games area has been created alongside the improved snooker and table tennis area.

  • New inviting doors are installed at the main entrance together with a creative graffiti art mural at the entrance which will be illuminated at night.

All in all the place has been transformed and the parish looks forward to many people making use of the improved facilities.
