Streetreach hits Moira!

Streetreach Moira took place in the village over the Easter holidays with about 40 people participating from the Church of Ireland, Pentecostal, Baptist and Presbyterian churches.

Simon Henry writes:

We tidied gardens, walk ways and public areas with everyone working hard in the sunshine and on the first day alone we gathered 200 bags of grass cuttings, weeds, and other rubbish and debris. We also visited Laganvale Care Home and Henry Court, singing hymns, handing out flowers and conversing with the residents telling them all about Streetreach.

Showing Christ's love practically through our actions led some of us into conversations with folks from all over the village who wanted to know who we were and why we were doing all this hard work for no financial gain. We finished our days together with a BBQ on Saturday evening, again in glorious sunshine! It was a hugely successful few days and it was wonderful to see the churches of Moira working alongside each other, making new friends and establishing relationships that we can build on for the future - together as followers of Jesus telling others and showing his love in practical ways.
