Ash cloud disrupts Holy Land trip

A Church of Ireland group bound for the Holy Land has become the subject of several news reports as they sit out the volcanic ash cloud that has disrupted their travel plans.

Rev David Humphries of Stormont and Rev David Brown of Knocknagoney plus 24 others are some of the few travellers waiting at Belfast City Airport whilst all flights in and out of Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic have been grounded.

The group have already been on the Stephen Nolan Show and talked to UTV, so watch out for them on the news bulletins!

Rev Humphries leads a Holy Land trip annually and is hopeful that if flights resume as planned at 1pm, they will still be able to make their destination.
