Precept Ministries visit Kilkeel

Mrs Valerie Murphy of Precept Ministries recently led a Quiet Day for the Kilkeel Branch of the Mother's Union.
Valerie is National Director of Precept in Northern Ireland who describe themselves as "The Inductive Bible Study People". She is a former nurse and was very involved with Focufest before taking up her current post.
So what is 'Inductive Bible Study?
"It simply means," says Valerie, "that we go to the Bible first to find out what God is saying in and through His Word."
"There are 3 steps to the process, she continues:
Observation - looking at what the text says
Interpretation - understanding what the text means
Application – applying what we have learnt to our own lives
"All so that we will know God which defines our belief and that we will be conformed to the image of Christ which determines our behaviour.
"Our Mission at Precept Ministries is to establish people in God's Word and our vision is people living as exemplary followers of Jesus Christ."
Valerie spoke to an appreciative group of 40-50 MU members in Kilkeel, sharing from the life of the disciple Peter.
