David Brown, Timothy Doak and David Gardner, ably supported by Simon Brown have just completed a mammoth 4 day, 400 mile charity cycle from Mizen Head to Malin Head.
Their cycle is raising funds for Charlene’s Project, a fundraising project established by Charlene Barr to raise the money to build Hidden Treasure Primary School in Uganda. Charlene has cystic fibrosis and is waiting for a double lung transplant.
Just out of hospital after 14 weeks she is enjoying a little bit of time at home with her family in Dollingstown. You can read about Charlene’s Project at www.charlenesproject.org. She has raised over £95,000 already and word is that the school will begin building over the next few weeks with a completion planned for Autumn of this year.
Charlene commented from her home, “I followed the guys on Facebook and look forward to seeing all their pictures. I really appreciate all their efforts to help me raise money to build Hidden Treasure School in Uganda – they are amazing”.
