Pianos to 'pop up' in Belfast
"Play Me, I'm Yours" is an artwork by British artist Luke Jerram who has been touring the project globally since 2008.
From the 14th - 29th of August 2010, 10 street pianos will be distributed across the streets of Belfast. Located in public areas, streets and squares, the pianos are for any member of the public to play, to decorate and personalise.
A website has been created for the public to post their comments, films and photos about the pianos. Whilst documenting each piano's journey, the website will connect the pianos and their communities across the city. After being in place for two weeks, the pianos will be donated to local schools and community groups.
