Bishop's Breakfast for Youth and Children's workers

Bishop Harold entertained 18 youth and children's workers for breakfast at Church House last week in what is now an annual event in the diocesan calendar.

It's an opportunity for parish workers and members of the Church of Ireland Youth Department to meet the Bishop and each other and to be envisioned and encouraged at the beginning of the busy autumn term.

Youth and children's work in the diocese has experienced record growth in the past year with 11 new positions being created in parishes and the total number of full and part-time personnel and interns reaching 40. These workers go under different titles but all are involved with children, youth or both in their day to day parish activities.

"It's an exciting time for youth and children's work in Down and Dromore," says Diocesan Youth Officer, Andrew Brannigan.
