Join the Biblefresh initiative in 2011

Why not take your church on a one year journey with Biblefresh in 2011? Biblefresh is an initiative which is being launched across the United Kingdom and Ireland to tackle the issue of the lack of appetite for, and understanding of the Bible.

Approximately one hundred UK agencies, organisations, denominations, festivals and colleges have united under the banner of Biblefresh to work together to help the church regain confidence and an appetite for the Bible.  It has been timed to coincide with the 400th anniversary of the King James Version of the Bible in 2011, and it is hoped that thousands of churches across the UK and Ireland will pledge to raise their level of engagement with the Bible in four areas: reading, training, translation and experience.

Some of the Biblefresh partner organisations include: The Methodist Church, The Baptist Union, Belfast Bible College, New Horizon Ministries, Summer Madness, Bible Society and Scripture Union.  They have approximately 40 Bible Champions for the Biblefresh initiative including Dr Christina Baxter, Dr Elaine Storkey, Bishop Wallace Benn and Bishop Tom Wright.
