Please complete the online poverty survey

The Poverty Think Tank set up by Bishop Harold invites members of the diocese to complete an online survey looking at aspects of poverty within the our boundaries.

The the think tank has 14 members with an interest or expertise in this area and has already met under the chairmanship of The Revd Canon David McClay. Its task, broadly, is to report on the prevalent needs within the diocese, the ways in which parishes are responding at present and to suggest how we might engage more effectively with the issues.

The group will report back to the Bishop by Easter ahead of a report at this year’s Diocesan Synod in June.

“I know that some churches already have projects in place'" says Bishop Harold, but I would like us to be more purposeful as a diocese in responding to the biblical mandate to ‘remember the poor’. If you are a member of the Church of Ireland in Down and Dromore, please do take the opportunity to contribute to this important initiative by completing the survey on our website."
