Pray for free movement of medical supplies in Sudan

CMS Ireland's David Gough requests specific prayer for the free movement of medical supplies in Southern Sudan. Down and Dromore is linked with the Diocese of Maridi and the Diocese of Connor with Yei.

Recently a lorry carrying medical equipment for delivery to Maridi spent over thee weeks at Kaya customs on the Uganda/South Sudan border. The lorry was finally cleared, but it and others coming with equipment from Kiwoko Hospital, Uganda, face further obstacles.

"Maridi's Bethsaida clinic is much improved after it’s recent refurbishment, but lacks furniture and equipment. Furniture will be made locally as soon as the money, which is en route, reaches Bishop Justin. Please pray that the equipment and drugs will arrive soon assuming customs lets it through. Give thanks that a highly successful Agriculture project in Maridi is already providing food to the Church in Maridi, thanks to the generous support of one of their Link Parishes. Please give thanks that two, 3-classroom blocks at Christ Town Primary School in Maridi are nearing completion. Please celebrate and give thanks to God that I’m about to order a new vehicle for Bishop Justin thanks to the extremely generous support of Link Parishes and individuals in Down and Dromore Diocese and Albany Diocese USA."
