We hope you like it!

Welcome to the new look Down & Dromore website which we hope you'll find easy on the eye and simple to navigate. Apart from the design and some restructuring, what else has changed?

Well we're slimmer for a start and we've brought a few things forward in the site. The Prayer Focus on the homepage will change every Saturday, but you can still download prayer points for the month ahead in the Faith section. On the same page, links will take you to Daily Prayer and to the Anglican Cycle of Prayer.

You'll also notice that new readings appear every day under 'Read through the Bible in a Year,' as part of our celebration of the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible. Below that are selected images from our Galleries and you'll see that Parishes and Clergy now login at the bottom rather than the top.

Going back up, don't miss the little arrows under the main image which reveal video and three calendar months at a time.

The redesigned News & Events section means that stories will not fall off the face of the site as quickly as before and clicking on the calendar to the right will reveal a whole month's events at a time. The parish search has also been improved and the parish pages made more inviting.

This is a work in progress and we plan to add more useful and interesting info in the months ahead. Also coming soon is the long promised Ezine which offers an opportunity to tell your story or advertise an event. Please subscribe on the homepage and you will also receive monthly prayer updates from us. Please also send us your news and photos.

We've strived to cover all the angles but very much welcome feedback so please email the Diocesan Communications Officer, Annette McGrath, with your comments.

With thanks to our web developers, Ryan and Dave of Thought Collective who never seem to sleep and our talented designer Andi Mac of ilovepinatas.

For older versions of Windows, such as XP,  the typeface may look clearest with the Clear type setting applied.

Go to Control Panel, select Display, choose the Appearance tab, then Effects. Select the second drop down menu that refers to '...smooth edges of screen fonts' and choose 'Clear Type.' Click ok, then Apply.
