'Kiwoko Four' at Knockbreda MU

Mission was on the agenda at Knockbreda Mothers' Union recently as the 'Kiwoko Four' informed the branch about their short term missionary work in Uganda.

Students Amy Green, Aimee Maguire, Kirsten Patterson and Physiotherapist, Helen Beattie travelled to Uganda with CMS in the summer of 2010.

They helped out at Kiwoko Hospital, where the motto is 'We treat, Jesus heals'. Knockbreda couple Judith and Ken Finch have been doing long term missionary work at the hospital for sometime now, and they were delighted to see some familiar faces from home.

The girls spoke about the ongoing missionary needs which exist in Uganda and the good work that is being done through organisations like CMS. They encouraged the Mothers' Union to play their part  by giving financially and praying for those involved in the work.

The girls also took the opportunity of doing some children's ministry while in Uganda. They ran a holiday bible club for children, sharing the gospel through bible stories, song and dance.
