90 years young!

Congratulations to Mr Billy Murdie of Donaghadee Parish, who shares a 90th birthday with Prince Philip on Sunday 5th June.

A number of events have already taken place to mark Billy's entry into his 10th decade beginning with the Wednesday morning healing service which was followed by lunch. On Wednesday evening the parish organised a social gathering which was attended by about 80 people including the select vestry, choir, parish readers and members of Billy’s extended family.

Billy has been a committed member of the Parish since 1976, serving in a variety of roles. He is a parochial nominator, diocesan synodsman, a parish reader and choir member. He is also active in coordinating and leading the Wednesday morning healing service attended by 20-25 parishioners every week.

We in Down & Dromore wish Billy many happy returns and we want to know what his secret is!
