St John's Lurgan benefits from leadership course
'At St John's Parish, Lurgan, we have just completed an excellent 4 session course designed and delivered by Chris Hollies of Leadership First,' says the rector, Revd John White
The course is called, ‘You really Matter,’ and helped around 40 of our members consider their unique God-given S.H.A.P.E. That is:
S = the gift(s) that God has given us
H = our passion, what moves our hearts
A = our God given natural abilities
P = our personality
E = our experiences in life
'Through a mixture of teaching from Chris and discussion I believe our members are now in a better position to consider how and where they are best equipped to serve the purpose and vision of the church at St John’s.
'We are looking forward to the future He has in store for us as we seek to reach out with the good news of Jesus Christ to those in the neighbourhood around us in Lurgan,' he continues.
Chris is based in Belfast and over the past 12 months has been facilitating a programme of parish development with St John's.
