Bible Society requests prayer for victims of flooding in Thailand
Seree Lorgunpai, General Secretary of the Thailand Bible Society (TBS) requests prayers regarding the flooding over the last several months.
Water from the mountains has hit many parts of Bangkok and is still spreading. Many people were completely unprepared and are now devastated. Clean water is very difficult to find, food is expensive and many roads are cut off. It could take about a month for all the water to flow to the sea.
Please pray that the government will act with wisdom and the floods will disperse quickly. Pray that Churches and Christians can offer help to those who lose hope.
TBS will partially open their office which, as yet, has escaped the flood waters. More than half the staff’s homes are flooded and only two have stayed. Pray for wisdom as they prioritise the many needs that they are now faced with – Scripture for flooded Churches, Scripture for Christians who have lost everything, helping the staff get back in their homes and offering hope wherever they can.
We ask you to pray that God will provide for the needs of our brothers and sisters in Thailand.
